What do you enjoy about doing art at school?

  1. I’m just 9 weeks old, so I’m stilling hanging out in the cot, pram or playmat, but I believe the purpose of art production is to engage in the public domain a dialogue within a historical narrative framework via memory. Marginalised by market ideology and neo-colonialism, the practice of art offers multiple entry points that challenge disciplinary boundaries of identity, challenge peoples perceptions and ideologies, cumulating in changing society’s cultural paradigms while creating future Zeitgeists. Just some random insights in between bottles, and can’t wait to get into the finger paint. oops! I think i need a nappy change. VOPL

  3. I enjoy doing sketching, using pastels and of course putting a little bit of detail to finish the picture off or I might do a lot of detail!
    I enjoy having time to create something or fiddling around with pictures or photos.
    My favourite thing to do in art is sketching with pencils or drawing with pastels and mixing the colours.
    That’s all i have to say!!!

  4. I enjoy doing all sorts of stuff in art for its my favorite subject. I like doing mosaics, pottery drawing with grey lead pencils.You do different stuff each week so that makes it really fun.

  11. Making things … construction with boxes, clay, sticky tape, and papple pop sticks … matchsticks and pom poms, plastics, cellophane and … and pencil and paper … and our sketckbooks. Yeh.

  12. Sometimes i like painting, and I also like making things out of clay. Sometmes I like to draw. I also like free time, yes I do. Once I liked making the mobile phones.

  18. I injoy drawing stuff and painting and I like doing different stuff too. My favorite subject is art and i like doing clay too, its really fun.

  19. I enjoy at art playing with my drawings and i love painting. My faviroute subject has aways been art.
    I also like making sculpchers like a puppy dog out of foam stuff. ART IS SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. It is fun because you get to do canvas painting and stuff. And you get to do free time like making your own flag. I enjoy art because I do it with friends. I love doing clay it is my favourite.

  24. You can do lots of different stuff at art .
    You can make drawings, painting and lots of cool kinds of art.
    I really like art and I think it’s one of the best things you can do at School

  25. We get do do drawings, …and get to make stuff with the polystyrene blocks. I sometimes like to make collage and builing things from sticks … oh and i like doing clay.

  26. um .. its the best .. i like it. I like doing collage … drawing and painting. I like doing building … building a pig from foam blocks, um … drawing the eyes, sticks for the legs. That’s all.

  27. um … i like to do drawings and paintings and free time. I like it because i like drawing people and cartoon network stuff … i like clay. i like sitting with my friends at art.

  28. um .. we paint alot … we make things out of clay … um … we get free time you can make whatever you want. You get to take them home and they are really artistic. And also because we get to draw pictures. Thats all.

  33. I like when we work in our sketchbooks. Making clay things. I like … like making dragons and aeroplanes out of paper and paddle pop sticks with the hot glue gun that Mr L uses.

  34. um … i enjoy painting, i enjoy drawing. You can do really cool stuff in drawing and really cool stuff in painting as well. I like how I make puppets.

  35. I like doing crafty stuff. Scissors and sequins and glitter and i use staplers, thats to stick stuff together, paint and drawing with pencils.

  37. i reckon i would have to go for making mini fighter jets out of stryofoam blocks. Each year i really look forward to the construction. It’s my favourite thing in art.

  38. I like everything. I think i am pretty good at my drawings. I like doing planets. When I do planets it is pretty hard for me and I can spend a lot of time on it. Most things are pretty hard but i like it. I like doing art.

  39. I enjoy doing clay. And lots of drawing … drawing lots of things. I like using paints … I like to use the shaky pens … and … i would like to make puppets so i can make a big puppet show. I like drawing with ST 1H because she is my best friend.

  42. The playdo kinda stuff … um … clay. I do like making the cups … yep. Because I did it last year. I like doing paintings … I like building the stuff, all kinds of things. I have fun doing it. I like playing the silent game back to the classroom.

Painting things that you don’t have to have a subject for, but still know the theme, or taking photos of things, that look like other things, or changing photos to make a leaf look like a flower, or a flower to look like a bird. That we make pictures, or take photos of things that people hopefully will look at and admire, or enjoy to look at.

  51. … lots of colouring and stuff … patterns… doing patterns and i like doing … writing on and with my pictures, and i love drawing nice pictures …like …. ummm … doing it with the black textas and i really like painting and stuff.

  58. we enjoy it because the teacher is really awesome we do really fun stuff and art is our idol.
